Hurricane Irma Effects on the County-Wind
Clay County residents can potentially begin to expect effects from this storm Sunday late afternoon. Be sure that all your preparations are done by Saturday sundown. We encourage you to move and seek shelter by noon Sunday. Please remember to expect bridge closures when sustained winds reach 40 mph.
The entire county has the potential to experience sustained tropical storm force winds and hurricane force gusts beginning Sunday and through most of Monday. We expect to see significant rainfall of 10-15 inches, which may cause general flash floods for Black Creek – North and South Prong.
