Black Creek Ravines Nature Trek
Join Parks Naturalist Liza McCain on a hike through sandhill and flatwoods habitat at Black Creek Ravines Conservation Area. Discussions will include habitat restoration, wild turkey, red-headed woodpeckers, gopher tortoises, six-lined racerunner lizards, important plants for wildlife, carnivorous plants, and the ravine system. Bring plenty of water and wear close-toed shoes. Sunscreen and a hat is highly recommended. Hike is 2.5 miles and may last up to 3 hours. Challenge is moderate with some areas through soft sand.
