Home MenuCommunity Development Block Grant (CDBG)
Every year, Clay County receives funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program.
The money spent through the CDBG program must serve one of three CDBG National Objectives:
1) to benefit low-and moderate-income persons
2) to aid in the prevention or elimination of slum or blight
3) to meet a community development need of urgency.
Look what the CDBG grant can do!
Over 200 homes on Edson Dr., Sonora Dr., Parkwood Dr., Dunwoodie Rd., Glendenling Rd., Toccoa Rd., and Gwinnett Rd. have had their sidewalks replaced or repaired using the Community Development Block Grant funds.
Future plans for this grant include neighborhood revitalization, home rehab, and infrastructure improvements within the county.
