Clay County Community Development Block Grant

The Clay County Board of County Commissioners is dedicated to enhancing employment prospects and decreasing taxes for homeowners. Their primary objective is to foster the growth of businesses, industries, and entrepreneurship. Collaborating with landowners and developers, they aspire to transform Clay County into a thriving economic hub in northeast Florida. They have designated specific zones for offices, commercial spaces, and industries, and have ensured easy access to transportation by land, air, water, and rail. With highways, an airport, a port, and a rail line, Clay County is well-prepared for further expansion.

Clay County is desirable due to its good schools, safe neighborhoods, and low crime. Its population has grown from 140,000 to 190,000 residents in the last 20 years, surpassing Florida's growth rate. The population is expected to continue growing, reaching almost 300,000 people in the next 25 years, exceeding the state's expected growth rate.

The Board works in partnership with the Clay County Chamber of Commerce, Clay County Development Authority, and Clay County Economic Development Corporation to encourage collaboration between government and businesses. Their efforts aim to promote Clay County as a competitive destination for diverse businesses to establish and maintain operations.
