Augusta Savage Historic Preservation Marker Unveiling and Mentoring Center Open House
Clay County Government and the City of Green Cove Springs will be unveiling the historic marker for Augusta Fells Savage at the Augusta Savage Social Services and Cultural Complex, 1107 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Green Cove Springs, on Thursday, Sept. 1, 2022, at 6:30 p.m. The unveiling ceremony will be followed by an Open House of programming for the Augusta Savage Museum and Mentoring Center. The building will be open to the public until 8:00 p.m. to tour and meet the volunteer teachers for the City’s first curriculum of classes, which is open to local students from 1st grade to 12th grade.
