  • Do you offer other services for families impacted by an addicted family member?

    Yes.  We encourage families to reach out to Clay County Community Services for additional resources.  To contact Community Services email claycares@claycountygov.com or call 904-529-4256.

  • Do you offer other services for families impacted by Opioid Use Disorder?

    Yes.  We have on-site peer support for family members and resources like Al-Anon and Nar-Anon.


  • Does Narcan encourage substance use?

    No! The only thing Narcan encourages is breathing. Research has shown no evidence of Narcan leading to drug use.


  • How can I get Narcan?

    You can contact our Naloxone Coordinator by calling (904)529-4122 or visit our Narcan Thursday event every Thursday at 2710 Blanding Blvd. Suite 8 in Middleburg from 11 am- 4 pm.


  • How can I tell if someone is addicted to opioids?

    It’s not so much the signs of addiction, but the signs of withdrawal that you are looking for.  Look for nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, muscle cramping, goose bumps, agitation, excessive sweating, anxiety, yawning often, and dilated pupils. 


  • How can I tell if someone is misusing opioids?

  • How much does it cost?

    Services and programs through the Community Paramedicine Program are free. However, there is a $10 co-pay for treatment counseling and care through Clay Behavioral, whose services are income-based. 


  • I don’t have an opioid addiction, but another substance addiction, can you can still help me?

    Yes, we can help!  We have access to a multitude of resources including ones for alcohol and other substances, along with connections to peer support and mental health services.    



  • I have a family member who has a substance abuse problem. What can I do?

    The family member has to want help.  If the family member decides they need our assistance, we prefer that they call us at 904-284-7703 or email us at  community.paramedicine@claycountygov.com. All calls are confidential. 


  • What help do you offer?

    The Community Paramedicine Program offers a variety of services including no-cost naloxone, medication assisted treatment, quality of life improvement program, and naloxone education and training. We offer free medication-assisted treatment with buprenorphine.  We work in conjunction with Clay Behavioral for addiction counseling and care. Clay Behavioral’s costs are income based.
