Camp Chowenwaw Park Rules
1. Pool fees apply to all day-use visitors. No swimming in Otter Springs (pond) or Black Creek.
2. Camper’s stay is limited to 7 consecutive nights and 7 nights per month.
3. Park hours 8 a.m. to sunset. Non-campers must vacate the Park prior to sunset/gate closing. Overnight camper check-in is from 1 to 4:00 p.m./check out is 11 a.m. Quiet hours: 10 p.m. until 7 a.m. Day-Use Buildings hours of use are 10:00 a.m. to sunset.
4. Campgrounds, cabin areas, and all buildings are reserved for the exclusive use of the individuals registered at those specific sites. No other visitors, including other campers, may enter areas around cabins or campgrounds.

6. Music– single acoustic instruments, CD/MP 3 are allowed. NO amplifiers allowed.
7. Pets allowed outdoors only-8 a.m. to sunset; cannot stay overnight; cannot be in any buildings; must be must be kept on a leash at ALL times; never left unattended; have proof of rabies immunization on the collar; and must be cleaned up after.
8. No Alcoholic Beverages allowed. (Clay County Code, Chapter 3, Article I).
9. No Smoking allowed in cabins or buildings. (Fla. Statute 386, Fla. Clean Indoor Act)
10. No Graffiti or defacing Park buildings or property.
11. Do not move beds. Do not take any furniture outside.
12. Glass bottles or glass containers are not allowed on Park property.
13. Deposits may be refunded up to 30 days before arrival.
14. Not Permitted: extension cords, portable AC units, electric heaters, TV’s, etc.
15. Fishing is only permitted on the Jungle Trail Pier or from the bulkhead on Black Creek (with a valid FL fishing license.)
16. Artifacts, plants, and animal life (including flowers) are protected – DO NOT DISTURB! (Clay County Code, Section 15-3.3 (j) and (k))
17. No motorized vehicles beyond the designated parking areas, e.g. golf carts, motorcycles, scooters, four-wheelers, etc.
18. Campfires are permitted only within the fire rings. Extinguish all fires in fire rings and fireplaces. Use only firewood up to 18” long, and that meets Chapter 5B-65, Florida Administrative Code. Do not use construction scrap wood such as pressure-treated wood, etc. Use charcoal in grills only- DO NOT USE FIREWOOD.
19. Keep trash indoors. Keep campsite, and buildings free of litter and flammable materials. Remove all personal belongings and clean up litter and rubbish.
20. Fireworks, including sparklers are prohibited.
Renters must inform their all member of their party of the rules and provide the gate code to registered campers only. Staff is not available to open the gate after hours.
