Conflict of Interest

Any outside personal economic relationship that affords present or future financial benefits to an employee, his family, or individuals with whom he has a business or financial ties may be considered a conflict of interest requiring evaluation by the County Manager. County employees and vendors are required to disclose any potential conflicts.

Ethics/Public Records

Clay County requires a high standard of ethics from its officers and employees and expects the same from its vendors and suppliers. (Reference Florida Statute 112 and the Clay County Purchasing Procedure Manual) Clay County officials, employees, or agents are forbidden to accept gifts or gratuities. Public Records Law: Clay County is governed by the State of Florida's Government-in-the-Sunshine Law, Section 286.011 Florida Statute (Open Meetings), and Section 119 Florida Statute (Public Records).
